Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. What this Policy covers

The Service is a digital subscription. There are no physical goods, no shipping, and no returns. Nothing is delivered to an address and nothing is posted back to us.

Access is granted immediately on successful payment.

2. Free trial

New accounts may receive a free trial of 7 days. No payment is taken during the trial.

Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription begins automatically and the first payment is taken when the trial ends.

The trial is your opportunity to decide whether the Service suits you. Please use it — once a payment has been taken it is not refunded (clause 5).

3. Billing and renewal

4. How to cancel

Cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription in the Service, or by emailing support@untng.my from your registered address.

You may cancel at any time — during the trial, or at any point after it.

In both cases the rule is the same: you keep what you have already paid for, or been given, and nothing further is charged.

5. Refunds

5.1 Subscription fees are not refundable

Once a monthly subscription payment has been taken, it is not refunded — whether you cancel part-way through the month, stop using the Service, or simply change your mind.

You keep access for the whole period you paid for. That is what the payment buys.

This is why the free trial exists: decide during the trial, before any money moves.

5.2 Where we will still return your money

Clause 5.1 is about refunding a valid charge. It does not apply where the charge itself was wrong. We will return your money where:

These are corrections of a billing error, not refunds of a subscription.

5.3 Automated readings are not a basis for a refund

As explained in the Terms of Service, automated output is a suggestion that you must review and confirm. A suggestion you accepted without checking, or a receipt the Service could not read, is not a service failure and is not a basis for a refund.

6. How to raise a billing error

If you believe one of the situations in clause 5.2 applies to you — a duplicate charge, a charge after cancelling, or a charge you did not authorise — email support@untng.my from the address registered to your account with:

  1. your account email;
  2. the date and amount of the charge;
  3. which situation in clause 5.2 you believe applies.

We will acknowledge within 2 business days and decide within 7 business days, giving reasons if we decline.

7. How money is returned

Approved returns are made to the original payment method through Razorpay Curlec. We cannot refund to a different card, account, or person.

Once we submit a refund, it is typically credited within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. That period is controlled by them, not by us.

8. Late payment, suspension, and archived data

If a renewal payment fails, this is what happens and when.

DayWhat happens
Period ends, payment failsWe notify you and retry. You keep full access.
Days 1–7Grace period. Pay within this window and nothing changes.
After day 7Account suspended. Access stops. Your data is archived, not deleted.
Archived for 90 daysYou can restore your account — see 8.1.
After 90 daysArchived data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

8.1 Restoring a suspended account and its archived data

Your archived data is held for you. Recovering it is a service, and it is priced by how long we held it.

Within the 90-day archive window you may restore your account by paying:

Example. On a RM69 monthly plan, returning after your data has been archived for six weeks: RM69 for the month ahead, plus RM138 to restore two months of archive.

8.1.1 You can always decline the fee

The restoration fee is optional, because the archived data is optional.

You may instead open a new account at the normal price with no restoration fee. You start clean; the archived data is not carried over and is deleted at the end of its window.

So the fee is not a charge for the months your account was suspended — you had no access then, and we do not bill for access you did not have. It is the price of getting your old records back, and you may decline it.

8.2 Export before you lapse

⚠️ Once the 90-day window closes, your archived data is gone. We cannot recover it, and neither can you.

Section 82 of the Income Tax Act 1967 requires you to keep records for seven (7) years. Export your data while your account is active. Do not treat this Service as your only copy.

9. Price changes

We may change prices. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a new price applies to your subscription. You may cancel before it takes effect. Price changes never apply retrospectively to a period you have already paid for.

10. Your data after cancellation

Why cancelling and a lapsed payment are treated the same. In both cases you stop paying, we stop your access, and we hold your records for you. Holding them is a service whether you told us you were leaving or not — so the price to pick them up again is the same. The only difference is clause 8's 7-day grace period, which exists so a card that simply expired does not cost you your account.

11. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may cause your account to be suspended while the dispute is investigated, and we will provide the payment provider with our transaction and access records.
